Anastrepha compressa Stone was reported, for the first time, in Mexico (Campeche, Yucatan Peninsula). This represents a northern expansion of its range from Central America. A. compressa is native to Panama (La Campaña, El Cermaño and Balboa) and is known to occur in Venezuela. Little is known about A. compressa and its host plant(s).
