Subject: Oriental Fruit Fly in Florida

For the second time in the past year, an oriental fruit fly, Bactrocera dorsalis, has been trapped in Florida (U.S.A.). A single male was trapped on June 11, 2001 on residential property in Osceola County. The previous detection was on June 21, 2000 in Bradenton.
