The Canadian Food Inspection Agency recently (March 15, 2007) amended the areas within Canada that are regulated to control the spread of the ["North American"] Gypsy moth, Lymantria dispar.

New additions to the list of already infested or suspected infested areas of Canada include the following:

Nova Scotia: Colchester County; Cumberland County.

New Brunswick: Municipality of Bouctouche within Kent County; Westmorland County.

Prince Edward Island: Municipality of Charlottetown within Queens County.

L’Agence canadienne d’inspection des aliments a récemment modifié (le 15 mars 2007) la liste des régions réglementées au Canada, pour lutter contre la propagation de la spongieuse nord-américaine, Lymantria dispar.

Les endroits infestés ou que l’on soupçonne être infestés au Canada, et qui ont été ajoutés à la liste comprennent :

Nouvelle-Écosse : comté de Colchester; comté de Cumberland.

Nouveau-Brunswick : municipalité de Bouctouche dans le comté de Kent; comté de Westmorland.

Île-du-Prince-Édouard : municipalité de Charlottetown dans le comté de Queens.
