Official Pest Reports are provided by National Plant Protection Organizations within the NAPPO region. These Pest Reports are intended to comply with the International Plant Protection Convention's Standard on Pest Reporting, endorsed by the Interim Commission on Phytosanitary Measures in March 2002.

Report:
Effective immediately, the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) is removing Mendocino County from the light brown apple moth (LBAM) regulated areas in California. A Federal Order describes the reduced regulated area and the requirements for the interstate movement of LBAM-regulated articles. APHIS, in cooperation with the California Department of Food and Agriculture and local county agricultural commissioners, maintains its survey and regulatory framework to prevent the artificial spread of LBAM to other states or trading partners.
For future changes to the LBAM regulated area, APHIS will notify state regulatory authorities immediately of the change through a letter and will update the following website with the date and description of the regulated areas:

Under IPPC standards, Epiphyas postvittana is considered to be a pest that is present: only in some areas and subject to official control in the United States.
