Report:
The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) is quarantining Marion and Crawford Counties, Ohio, for European gypsy moth (Lymantria dispar). APHIS is taking this action upon verification of the Ohio Department of Agriculture’s report that reproducing populations of European gypsy moth are present and established in Marion and Crawford Counties. This action is effective immediately.
Under IPPC Standards Lymantria dispar is considered to be a pest that is present in some parts of the United States, specifically 19 States and the District of Columbia.
