Report:
As part of the actions applied by the National System for Phytosanitary Epidemiological Surveillance in Mexico, a severe strain of the Citrus tristeza virus (CTV) was detected in the community of Tajamanil, municipality of Cazones de Herrera.
SENASICA, through the Plant Health General Directorate, initiated phytosanitary actions, such as delimiting the outbreak and removal of positive plants.
Based on this and according to the International Plant Protection Convention standards, the severe strain of Citrus tristeza virus (CTV) is considered a quarantine pest, transitory, actionable and under eradication in Mexico.
